The 23 Sportfisher by Specmar uses the hull 920 designed for propulsion by outboard, waterjet or I/O drive. Several different cabin designs can be used to suit customers requirement, with or without bow deck. The hull includes 2 separate fueltanks of 220 Liter capacity each, housed in the bottom construction.
The hull shape is designed for engine capacities up till 300 hp, capable of speeds up till 60 km/hr and more comfortable cruising speeds of 40km/hr, subject to loads and operational conditions.
The design complies with CE- category C (inland waters) based on 8 persons and a maximum loaded weight of 2200 kg but can be adapted to CE-category B if required.
The hull has excellent stability and handling characteristics even at high speeds and the “Spray-rails” in the outer hull provide additional hull strength and a sportive look. The main construction is a robust and sturdy combination of longitudinal and transverse members and includes the “Delta Skipad”, Specmar’s trademark for enhanced planing performance and stability, with good fuel economy and speed with limited horsepower.
The kit has been modified by Bruce Roberts Europe bv to comply with the European codes and rules, as well as production standards. The Bruce Roberts Europe pre-cut building kit consists of extremely accurate cut parts from first class marine grade aluminium, including precision markings, the pre-forming of all parts and all profiles needed to complete the construction.
