The Spray 400 series of sailboats is a direct development from our extremely successful Spray 38 design. Hundreds of Spray 38s are in service worldwide, many of which have or are completed successful long term passages. The Spray 400 is available in many different sailing versions and also an additional trawler yacht version. As with all of the Spray versions the Spray 400 is designed for offshore sailing and is generally described as “designed to go anywhere and get you there safely”.
The C version is one of most popular Spray versions ever. She has the salty look as result of the raised poop deck and an inboard steering station. The lower deck arrangement is similar to the version A but an inboard steering station is placed to starboard. The raised poop greatly increases the visual space in the aft stateroom. The raised poop-deck can be equipped with an aft cockpit. Limiting the available headroom in the aft cabin, but greatly enhancing the outdoor experience under sailing conditions.
The number of variations in the design and the options available in terms of sailing plans, deck arrangements and rigging makes it impossible to describe all versions of the Spray 400.
